Child care that bends with your life — care on your schedule, smiles on theirs.
Our Approach to Scheduling
Flexible Enrollment Options
We offer a range of enrollment options to meet the needs of families with both traditional and nontraditional schedules, including:
Part-time and full-time care
Customized weekly schedules
Regularly scheduled extended-hour care
Weekend care as part of an ongoing enrollment plan
Enrollment plans are developed collaboratively with families and may evolve over time as children grow and family needs change.
On-Site Hub Class for Virtual Learners (K–2)
Kindred offers an on-site hub class for Kindergarten through 2nd grade students enrolled with Oregon Charter Academy.
The hub class provides a structured, supervised environment during the school day where children receive academic support, guidance, and encouragement, alongside opportunities for enrichment, movement, and social connection. This model supports families seeking a flexible, full-day solution for virtual learning.
Our Tuition Approach
Because care schedules and service needs vary widely, tuition at Kindred is not published as a fixed rate. Factors that influence tuition include:
Child’s age
Number of days and hours of care
Extended-hour and weekend coverage
Transportation or additional support needs
Families receive a clear, individualized quote once scheduling needs are discussed.
At Kindred, we recognize that today’s families work a wide range of schedules—many of which extend beyond traditional business hours. Our care model is intentionally designed to support families who need reliable, high-quality care during early mornings, evenings, and weekends, not just within standard weekday hours.
Rather than offering rigid schedules, we partner with families to create care plans that reflect real-life needs. Schedules and tuition are customized based on a child’s age, the type of care needed, and the hours of coverage requested. This approach allows us to provide consistent, relationship-based care while remaining responsive to the diverse schedules of the families we serve.
Core Center Availability
Kindred operates within established core center hours, which provide the foundation for our daily programming. These hours support consistency, staffing stability, and predictable routines for children.
In addition to our core hours, many families enroll in extended-hour and weekend care as part of their regular schedule. These options are integrated into our overall care model and are designed to support families whose work or personal schedules fall outside traditional hours.
Extended Hours & Weekend Care
Providing high-quality care outside of traditional hours is a core part of Kindred’s mission. Extended-hour and weekend care are available for families who need consistent coverage beyond our core operating hours and are commonly incorporated into enrollment plans.
These options are offered in a way that prioritizes continuity of care, stable relationships, and child well-being. Availability is determined by enrollment capacity and staffing, and details are discussed with families during the inquiry process to ensure the best possible fit.
School-Age Care & Transportation
For school-age children, Kindred offers:
Before-school and after-school care
Full-day care on non-school days, including school breaks and in-service days
Transportation to and from select local schools (routes and availability are limited)
These services are designed to support working families while providing children with a consistent, supportive environment beyond the school day.
